Day 1 Vancouver to Victoria

Arrive in Vancouver and collect your rental car for your journey to Victoria, including a 90-minute ferry ride through the scenic Gulf Islands. Journey time to Victoria is approximately four hours without stops. If you are arriving from an international flight or in the late evening, we suggest you overnight in Vancouver prior to commencing your journey. Day 2 Victoria

Today you will be able to choose one option from a range of activities, including a Butchart Gardens and city tour, whale watching, mountain biking, kayaking or flightseeing. Your activity can be booked on arrival at the Abigail’s Hotel, allowing you the flexibility to choose based on operation, weather conditions and personal preference. Overnight at the Abigail’s Hotel.

Day 3 Victoria to Tofino

Travel the Island Highway north to Nanaimo, then west to the Island’s Pacific coast and the town of Tofino. With sightseeing stops, we recommend allowing six hours for today’s drive. Long Beach Lodge is a luxurious resort set amongst towering trees, overlooking a rugged coastline and long sandy beach. Overnight at Long Beach Lodge.

Day 4 Tofino

Enjoy a full-day marine excursion to the north end of Clayoquot Sound. Here, a short boardwalk trail will take you to natural sulphur hot springs where you can enjoy a truly magical soak. Whales are frequently sighted during the journey, and marine stops may also be made. Your journey will be made by covered boat or Zodiac, with appropriate clothing provided. Day 5 Tofino to Whistler

Travel back across Vancouver Island to Nanaimo and board a ferry to the British Columbia mainland. On arrival in Horseshoe Bay, drive north on the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to the mountain resort of Whistler. With sightseeing stops, we recommend allowing seven hours for today’s drive. Overnight at Nita Lake Lodge.

Day 6 Whistler

This morning take part in a truly unique experience – a Ziptrek Ecotour. Enjoy an incredible three-hour journey ziplining along a series of suspended cables through the hidden beauty of Fitzsimmons Creek and the picturesque forest valley between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Overnight at Nita Lake Lodge.

Day 7 Whistler to Sun Peaks

Travel along the scenic Duffey Lake Road to the town of Lillooet, the starting point of the old Gold Rush Trail to the Cariboo. From here, drive east through the rugged British Columbia interior towards the resort of Sun Peaks. With sightseeing stops, we recommend allowing ten hours for today’s drive. Overnight at the Delta Sun Peaks.

Day 8 Sun Peaks

Today you will be able to choose one option from a range of activities. Our local operator will provide you with options based on weather conditions and tour availability, and you may choose based on personal preference. Your options include horseback riding, mountain biking, a spa treatment or a round of golf. Overnight at the Delta Sun Peaks.

Day 9 Sun Peaks to Jasper

Leave Sun Peaks and head north to Jasper. With sightseeing stops, we recommend allowing seven hours for today’s drive. Nestled on a terraced hillside, Pyramid Lake Resort offers a panoramic view of Pyramid Lake and the Canadian Rockies from every room. Overnight at Pyramid Lake Resort.

Day 10 Jasper

Included with your stay in Jasper is a choice from a range of activities, such as cruising, rafting, motorcoach touring and horseback riding. Your activity can be booked on arrival allowing you the flexibility to choose based on weather conditions and personal preference. Among the highlights are Pyramid and Patricia lakes, Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Lake and the Jasper Tramway. Overnight at Pyramid Lake Resort.

Day 11 Jasper to Emerald Lake

Travel to Emerald Lake via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. Spend time at Athabasca Falls and Bow Lake. At the Columbia Icefield you will have the opportunity to ride on an Ice Explorer (not included) to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. With sightseeing stops, we recommend allowing at least four hours for today’s drive. Emerald Lake Lodge is situated on the shores of Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. Overnight at Emerald Lake Lodge.

Day 12 Emerald Lake

Today enjoy the tranquil delights of canoeing with an all-day canoe rental on the serene waters of Emerald Lake. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the sights of Yoho National Park. Overnight at Emerald Lake Lodge.

Day 13 Emerald Lake to Banff

Your journey along Highway 1 to Banff takes you through spectacular scenery. We recommend stopping at Lake Louise en route and allowing approximately 90 minutes for today’s drive. Tucked away on Tunnel Mountain, Hidden Ridge Resort is quiet and secluded, with spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight at Hidden Ridge Resort.

Day 14 Banff with Car Drop

Included with your stay in Banff is a choice from a range of activities that showcase the highlights of the region, such as guided hiking, sightseeing and wildlife viewing. Your activity can be booked on arrival in Banff, allowing you the flexibility to choose based on weather conditions and personal preference. This afternoon return your rental vehicle in Banff. Overnight at Hidden Ridge Resort.

Day 15 Banff to Kamloops

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey offers you a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 16 Kamloops to Vancouver

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight at the Vancouver Renaissance Hotel in Vancouver.

 Day 17 Vancouver Departure

Your vacation ends with check-out from your Vancouver hotel.
